I was exposed to 'MultiLiteracies'. Yela... all this while, I thought illiterate means you cannot read and write. In Malay we call it, 'Buta Huruf.' However, from the topic that I have learnt last week, illiterate may not just be in reading or writing. It covers so many aspects that in our daily life.
So now, I am very sure that I am 'Digital Illiterate.' Sounds pathetic enough right? =__="
Why did I say so?
Sebab...
I am illiterate when it comes to online banking and anything to do with computers!
My bad.
Maybe sebab pernah jadi mangsa penipuan internet, aku jadi agak fobia bab-bab nak transfer duit online ni.
An incident happened when I want to buy books from FIXI bookstore.
After filling up the forms and what not,
here comes the tricky part: PAYMENT!
It happened that they only have Public Bank account.
Sangatlah nervous breakdown aku mengadap skrin 12" ni. Cuba minta pertolongan cemas daripada Wanie. Wanie lambat sangat bagi respon. Busy barangkali. Last-last mintak tolong Farah Ayuni. Tapi end up, Bayar manual kat bank saja. Cemas kan???
Tak cukup cemas sebenarnya. Cash Deposit Machine tak terima RM2. Macam mana nak bank-in RM2???
Nasib la adik aku berkecimpung dalam business online ni ada akaun Public Bank. So dia jela yang tolong.
The most hilarious part was I have to attach 2 receipts in my email, informing the bookstore that I have made the payment. Siap letak masa dan tarikh okeh! Jujur amat pulak dah. Kalah buat police report.
Then, they replied my email by saying this...
Ye. Agak jelas terpamer 'kekurangan pandai' aku di situ. Siap jadi Misteri ke mana perginya RM2.
Kelakar tu memang! Tapi rasa macam bengong je.
Kelakar tu memang! Tapi rasa macam bengong je.
(Jangan la dorang buat cerita pasal aku. Buat malu jek)
In short, I should go for any tutorial classes or consultation for online banking.
Benda simple pun tak tau.
Shame on me.
Shame on me.
